ASDS-2 for Commercial Vehicles

The ASDS-2 is the ideal, compact solution for SCR reductant systems on small/medium commercial vehicles or off-road machines. The main unit can be sized according to application demand; the present main cartridge in the prototype system holds 7.5 kg of ammonia and is replaceable. A small start-up unit ensures short time-to-dose even at temperatures well below 0° C. The heating of the main unit is done by using a small bypass flow of the warm engine coolant. The ASDS – 2 can be tailored to fit the target vehicle and presumed driving patterns optimally. The system supplies ultra pure ammonia gas on-demand. The combination of engine-out NOx and cartridge size determines the operating distance between cartridge replacement. The start-up unit is a permanent part of the vehicle, and is recharged during driving.
