Hydrogen for fuel cells

Amminex is developing energy storage solutions for a variety of fuel cell applications. The goal is to develop stand-alone hydrogen and ammonia generators which can supply fuel to any low, intermediate or high temperature fuel cell.  Depending on the desired application, Amminex can select to use materials optimized for use at either high or low temperatures. The common name for the different materials is Hydrammine™. For lightweight, portable power generation, the material of choice would be one of the low temperature Hydrammines™ such as Ca(NH3)8Cl2 or Sr(NH3)8Cl2.  For stationary or vehicular applications operating at high temperature, the Hydrammine™ of choice is Mg(NH3)6Cl2.  The ongoing research and development of these systems is taking place in collaboration with Amminex’s strategic partners.
